National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

It’s coming.

No, I’m not talking about Halloween, but like the spooky holiday you should be very very frightened, or at the very least, very prepared and for both…you’ll need loads of chocolate.

I have never participated in NaNoWriMo, as I’m not a big fan of rushing to write. I like deadlines, but I don’t want to feel as though I have to. Nor do I want to ever feel like, well that’s good enough, now let’s move on.

But, I know some writers who use the month of November to kickstart a new novel, to finesse a work in progress or to get their creative juices flowiing again, and for that? I say hooray.

But me? I’ll be using the 30 days of November once again to blog about footwear- as my alter ego- Another Good Thing- because if there’s one thing most of us gals can all agree on, whether you feel like writing or not, you almost always want to look at shoes.

I’ve never participated, due to similar reasons you already noted, but I am hoping that the very fact that writers everywhere are furiously pounding away at the keyboard will give me the incentive to keep the momentum going….
