Linda went out in the world. Oh, and there’s something special coming FEB 27!
Happy Hump Day!
What a fitting phrase as we get over the hump of the wonderfully long, warm summer, the hump of the not so wonderfully long election and head into the humpiest of all: the holiday season.
Hello there! It’s another Wednesday and since this is NANOWRIMO month, I am writing this well ahead of time and setting up the little scheduler to work while I sleep, or sleepwrite, because there is no pausing to get to 50k words in a month that is struck short by Thanksgiving travels and conventions and general hi-jinx.
There are some writers that you never really know. They hide behind their characters, they change their names, build fake towns or fantasy worlds. You may never truly know them. And sometimes, that lets you fall into their stories harder than you might have if you were busy staring at the face on the book jacket wondering if she really is the teacher at your kid’s school or the girl on the elevator at Park Street Condos.
And she’s definitely an author you should be reading. Heck, you’ve got like sixteen books to chose from. Slow down, Maggie! Give the rest of us a chance, would you?
You can call her Maggie or you can call her Rigel,
It’s Wednesday and all is well in the ‘hood. Just another day of type, type, type, while listening to imaginary people in my head. 🙂 If any of you out there are part of NANOWRIMO this month, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
So, it’s that time of the year again. Crime writers of all sorts will convene in a hotel and plot the end of someone’s life. Or just drink and tell stories between selling books, eating fried chicken and speaking on panels.
Coolest thing about books?
They connect people—in so many ways, from learning about families, jobs, cultures and traditions to understanding choices, options and motivations. You can travel the world with strangers that become your friends until the very last page,
I had high hopes for this year’s Bouchercon. I was launching a book, I’d skipped a year of the event, I was bringing swag, I was driving my Jag, I even remembered to pack my little red Sisters in Crime pin.
It’s Wednesday and that means time to play The Author Game, 10 for 10. This week, we have another Kindle Scout winner and new FaceBook buddy, Victoria. Say Hi! ( In the real world I’d probably call her Vicky… but who lives in the real world?)
