There are buttons in my car that I have no idea why they are there or what they do. I’ve driven this car for over three years. Lately, I’ve begun to think I should know more about the buttons- more about EVERYTHING.
As we wrap up a year of enormous surprises, I give you this sentiment.

Hello there! It’s another Wednesday and since this is NANOWRIMO month, I am writing this well ahead of time and setting up the little scheduler to work while I sleep, or sleepwrite, because there is no pausing to get to 50k words in a month that is struck short by Thanksgiving travels and conventions and general hi-jinx.
There are some writers that you never really know. They hide behind their characters, they change their names, build fake towns or fantasy worlds. You may never truly know them. And sometimes, that lets you fall into their stories harder than you might have if you were busy staring at the face on the book jacket wondering if she really is the teacher at your kid’s school or the girl on the elevator at Park Street Condos.
And she’s definitely an author you should be reading. Heck, you’ve got like sixteen books to chose from. Slow down, Maggie! Give the rest of us a chance, would you?
